Welcome from the HeadHeadteacher Mr Richards

Welcome to John Beddoes School, where I am sure your son/daughter will be challenged to achieve their full potential in a safe, secure and caring environment. A team of dedicated experienced teachers and support staff will effectively support them.

All pupils will have the opportunity to use the facilities available for both curricular and extra curricular activities. They will be encouraged to take part in the many school visits, trips and excursions, which broaden the academic and social skill of our pupils.

We take a great pride in our school. We want all our pupils to be proud of their school and take pride in their academic studies. Pupils are expected to display high standards of behaviour, be it in the classroom, at break and lunch, when they represent the school in sporting or other outside activities or when they travel to and from school. They are the school's ambassadors and we expect them to act as such.

It is important that there is good communication between the school, pupils and parents. We hope this website has all the information you need, if you require further information please do not hesitate to contact us. We also produce newsletters, and of course we report regularly on pupil's progress. We very much value communication from home. This can be done through the student diary, which each student carries with them, or through personal contact to the relevant member of staff. Your support is extremely important, if we are to ensure the success for your child.

Please get involved in school life as often as you can, the Parent Teacher Association is always looking for new members and if you are unable to commit to them your support at their events is always welcome.

We hope you find the information on this website useful.

Yours sincerely,

G Richards
Head teacher
