Sports Assembly 2010
Team Success
GIRLS
- Under 13 Netball team were third in the South Powys Netball Tournament
- Under 14 Netball team are South Powys Netball Champions (undefeated all season)
- Under 15 Netball team were runners up in the South Powys Netball Tournament and have had some record winning results including a 52-1 victory against Llandrindod Wells High School (averaging 1.7 goals a minute!)
- Under 16 Netball team were runners up in the South Powys Netball Tournament, losing out to Christ College by only one goal
- Under 13 Hockey team were third in the South Powys Hockey Tournament
- Under 14 Hockey team have gone undefeated all season
- U12, U13, U14 and U15 Rounders squads all became South Powys Rounders Champions. The four squads retained the title of South Powys Rounders Champions after dominating the tournaments held at JBS and Gwernyfed High School in June.
BOYS
- Under 12 Football team became South Powys Champions this year and narrowly lost to Llanfair Caerinion in the Powys final 6-4
- Under 12 Rugby team got to the quarter finals of the Luctonians U12 Floodlit Tournament
- Under 14 boys pairing of Matthew Venables and Kane Walker won the Key Stage 3 Championship

Athletics
Abbie Price in year 10 was selected to represent Wales in the UK Sports Hall Athletics Finals in April at Birmingham. She came an impressive 21st out of 80 competitors selected from all over the UK. Abbie had to perform the Vertical Jump, Two Lap Relay and the Speed Bounce. Abbie's best performance was in the Vertical Jump in which she was ranked 4th in the whole of the UK.
Joe Griffiths won the Powys Schools Javelin Competition and was selected to represent Powys for the Welsh Schools National Track and Field Championships.
Team of the Year 2010
Awarded to the tam that showed most dedication to practices and achieved success in fixtures and competitions. The overall sports team of the year is Under 14 Netball Team. They have held the title of South Powys Netball Champions for three years in a row - defeating Christ College every year! They have gone undefeated all season but most of all this team have showed remarkable devotion and commitment to practices and fixtures and as a team they demonstrate tremendous team work, co-operation and a shared goal to strive forward to succeed and flourish.
