John Beddoes School PE department was awarded Active Marc Cymru in 2008
ActiveMarc Cymru is awarded to school that can demonstrate a commitment to developing high quality PE and School Sport for all children. The award takes into account the work of the Physical Education department and its involvement with PESS, 5x60, DofE and JSLA initiatives as well as curriculum PE and extra-curricular opportunities and identifies the key features of high quality PE and School Sport in the school.
When a school commits to applying for an ActiveMarc Cymru Award it engages in a process of self evaluation whereby strengths and areas for development are identified. The application form is aligned to the Estyn framework based on the 7 key questions. This evaluation process produces a wealth of information that can be used to inform future planning.
