HELP collect Christmas boxes!

Calling all forms and members of staff......

Last year John Beddoes School managed to collect a good number of Christmas boxes in support of Operation Christmas Child. This organisation takes presents to children, who are living in poverty or who have suffered in natural disasters or in war torn parts of the World.

It would be great if every form and members of staff could be involved this year and could try to put together a box. In fact why stop at one!! Mrs Jones will collect the boxes and get them to a drop off point and will donate a prize to the form which collects the most boxes.

THIS IS WHAT YOU DO!

  1. Find a medium sized adult shoe box
  2. Cover it in Christmas paper- you must wrap the box and the lid separately so that volunteers can check them.
  3. Decide if your box is for a boy or a girl and what age group your box is suitable for.
  4. Stick the appropriate label on the lid of the box and tick the appropriate box.
  5. Fill the box with suitable gifts (see below). do not wrap individual presents.
  6. Write a Christmas card and sign it from all of you in the class.
  7. As your form tutor to make a cheque for £2 payable to Samaritan's Purse and ask them to complete the gift aid form.
  8. Put these in the box with the presents.
  9. Get a large elastic band and put it round the box and the lid.
  10. Bring your box/boxes to Mrs Jones in the staff room

I know that you are very generous and are always ready to help those less fortunate than yourselves.

THESE BOXES NEED TO BE READY BY THE SECOND WEEK IN NOVEMBER SO THAT THEY CAN BE DELIVEREAD IN TIME.
