Year 8 Police Quiz Team
After their success in the Powys competition John Beddoes Year 8 students went to Police HQ in Carmarthen on Wednesday 20th January to represent Powys in the All Wales School Liaison Core Programme Quiz. They competed against teams from other parts of the Dyfed-Powys Police Authority. In a very close competition there were piped at the post and came second to Haverford West.
Beverly Anderson who organised the competition commented about our students; 'they behaved fantastically and were a credit to the school and staff who brought them'.
In full school assembly on 26th January the team were congratulated and presented with their certificates and prizes by Headteacher Mr Richards. The team members were Elizabeth Swancott, Joe Hayward, Bethany Mills, Rhian Powell, William Cooper and Kyle Lloyd-Bithell.
