Race Towards Eqaulity
All Year 8 students at John Beddoes School have been taking part in a workshop called Race Towards Equality. The workshops were run by Jacinta Jolly of Powys Environment and Development Education Centre, with the aims of showing students that challenging racism is one of our responsibilities as global citizens and encouraging students to believe that they have the power to enact change within the world and that their actions on a local scale have greater impacts on the world around them. Students were also introduced to the national competition “Show Racism the Red Card” and began their competition entries.
